Since this is written from a secular worldview I was a bit hesitant to read this. And yet so much of what Dr. Sax wrote resonates with me and the errors we, my generation are making in raising our children.Some favorite quotes:"Gender is a reality. Gender matters. When girls and boys are given no guidance, the result often is girls who present themselves as sexual objects and boys who engage in reckless physical risk taking.""If you fail to teach little boys to respect little girls, some years later you are likely to have teenage boys who do not respect teenage girls."Several chapters were hard for me to read but I'm glad I was able to chew on it, spit out the bones and learn from the marrow.
